International Convention

We've had a great time at the San Diego International Convention. Its great to see delegates from places like Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Britain....in all 38 different countries sent delegates to this convention. Everyone seems so eager to meet and greet you as well. Of course most people think were from China or Japan or something until we explain were Aussies :) Loved the guy in the sombrero!

Weve had reports from other lands too during the sessions and its nice to hear how the work is being accomplished with so much success all around the world. Meanwhile weve had some great talks on remaining vigilant and alert in the ministry. Its been very motivating to remain focused on the important work at hand. Weve had 4 new releases already and weve still got one day to go! What are they you ask? You'll just have to wait for our convention to find out what they are! Youre gonna be pretty impressed with the new stuff.

Since the convention is held outside and there is no roof on the stadium, everyone brings large umbrellas for shade (or exremely large sombreros). When you look across the stadium, its just covered in umbrellas. Very colourful. But you'll notice that there are only a certain number of different umbrellas you can buy in San Diego. Youll see the same umbrella patterns repeated all over the stadium. Especially a yellow polka dot one (its from Costco). Theyre everywhere.

Its been great staying with the Sorianos. Theyve been really great for having us and sorting out everything we need. Its like theyve had two more kids for a week. Thanks guys!
