Monterey was cold! Its supposed to the middle of summer here but it mustve been less than 20 degrees the whole time! Nice town to explore however. There is a world class aquarium here which we didnt have time to see but there were some seals sleeping as usual on some rocks off the pier.
We went for a drive along 17 mile drive around the coast from Monetery which was scenic (besides the freezing wind and fog off the coast). Paid a visit to Pebble Beach golf course which I had playing in a Tiger Woods PGA game in my younger years and also the venue for the 2010 US PGA Championships (they already had 2010 merchanise out).
The feature of 17 mile drive is the Lone Cyprus. Sitting out there all by himself. Poor tree. Perhaps the gaze of thousands of tourists can remedy some of the lonliness.
